Paradise Village

Paradise Village, the trailer park behind Liberty Baptist Church has changed management. As a result, 90% of hispanics have left the trailer park and have gone to others. We are meeting in another trailer park on Wednesdays and covering the topic of marriage with couples there. In another home on a sod farm we are haveing evangelistic meetings weekly.

Future plans

Well it has been a while since I have updated you on our mission. This is what has been going on. Our attendance has steadily increased. On occasion we have somewhere between 15 to 20 people coming. We will begin morning services January 25, 2009. This last Saturday the missions team and members from the mission blanketed Paradise Village with tracts in Spanish and English. We stuffed them in plastic bags and hung them on the doors. We went out in four teams, of which two teams had a Spanish speaker. We spoke to four hispanics at the trailer park and I received one telephone call from an interested Hispanic. We plan to go back soon.

There is still a lot of work to be done in Paradise Village. We have to get together those interested in helping with the renovation of the double wide trailer, to having backyard Bible clubs, open air preaching, movies and parties. Each activity will be primarily evangelistic.

Please pray for First Baptist Church of Arlington which is seriously considering partnering with Liberty in supporting this mission.

That is all for now. Come back for more updates later.
